Abledly ("we") is an accessibility scanning and monitoring service operated by Prokop Studio. This policy describes what data we process when you use abledly.com, the Abledly web cabinet, or the Abledly app for Shopify — and how to get your data corrected or deleted. We keep it short and honest, in the same spirit as the product.
1. Data we collect on abledly.com
- URLs you submit for scanning, and the scan results (detected accessibility issues, scores, page screenshots taken during the scan).
- Your email address, if you create an account, subscribe to monitoring or alerts, or contact us.
- Basic first-party usage events (for example "a scan was run"). We use our own minimal event counter — no advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking, no data sold to anyone.
2. Data we collect in the Abledly app for Shopify
- Your shop domain and an API access token issued by Shopify when you install the app — required for the app to run.
- Your plan tier, scan history, monitoring settings and the alert email you optionally provide.
- Product data (product titles, image URLs and image alt text) — only if you explicitly grant the product-access permission, and only to audit alt text and write the alt-text updates you approve. The app never modifies your theme, never injects any script or overlay into your storefront, and never touches orders.
- The app requests no customer data scopes — we do not collect or store your customers' personal information. We still implement Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact): because we hold no customer records, data-request and customer-redact notices are satisfied with an empty result, and a shop-redact notice deletes the shop's stored records.
3. AI processing
Some features (AI review of scan results, AI alt-text drafts, AI fix suggestions) send page content, screenshots or product images to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the output. This content is used to produce the result you requested and is not used by us to train models.
4. Where data lives and who processes it
- Hosting: Railway (application servers and database).
- AI processing: Anthropic (only for the AI features described above).
- Transactional email: our email delivery provider, used only to send the reports and alerts you asked for.
- Payments: Shopify Billing for the Shopify app (we never see your card details).
5. Retention and deletion
- Scan history and evidence snapshots are kept while your account or shop installation is active — that dated history is a product feature (the Evidence Vault).
- If you uninstall the Shopify app, the shop's stored data is deleted when Shopify sends the shop-redact notice (48 hours after uninstall on Shopify's schedule), or earlier on request.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time — email us and we will act on it within 30 days.
6. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data. Ever.
- We don't run advertising trackers on abledly.com.
- We don't inject overlays, widgets or any code into your website or storefront.
- We don't claim scanning makes you legally compliant — and we don't use your data to pretend otherwise.
